PATREON, SUBSCRIBESTAR AND KO-FI!

I've been thinking of starting a Patreon, SubscribeStar and Ko-Fi! Not to worry, though! This is mostly a tip-jar! I also might be fun to have polls for "drawing of the month" that I'd post! It would feature ideas that I'd want to draw anyway; it'd be fun to let folks decide which of those they want to see first!

Basically, I'll be running into some funding issues in my life soon, AND I was thinking I want to draw a LOT more! Having done a lot of thinking about this a great deal, I think this could be really fun and motivating! I think y'all would love seeing more art from me, so everyone wins!

I'd set up different tiers, but it's really just levels of whatever feels most comfortable to donate, that's all! Probably a $1, $5, and $10 tier for starters.

If I decided to post "exclusive" art, it'd probably only be for a week or two before I release it to the public! I don't like punishing folks for not wanting to spend the money. 

I'm thinking of setting this up soon, maybe mid-November!

PLANS!

Chromatophore and I want to stream every Friday at 7:00PM CDT / 5:00PM PDT, and we're thinking of streaming most Sundays from 2:00PM CDT / 12:00PM PDT until we get tired, or have other plans!

We want to be accountability buddies because we both have big projects we want to work on!

For instance, I realized my Tremmie and Evan series was turning into a 30-page comic book. I don't want to make a comic book! I am pretty sure that's why I was dragging my feet about making it. I decided I'd do a series of 10 or 11 images, sort of like my portfolios back in the day! At this point I'd just want to draw it and post it, but I'm not sure if I'd want to bother with selling it. I mean, unless y'all want to throw money at me for it! 

Basically, I want to do a bunch of series with all my characters, and they're all going to be so much fun! Having an accountability buddy will help me stay on task! 

In 2025, I want to work on character sheets for the sketches I posted recently! 

Not sure exactly when I'll be opening for commissions at this point, but if all goes as I think it's going to, it's probably going to happen sooner than later!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I had an absolutely wonderful birthday, and slept a whole bunch the day after! We saw Everything Everywhere All At Once which is a fantastic movie! We saw Elemental, and heck, it's SO GOOD!

I'm genuinely thankful for everyone!!! 🥰

Today, September 14th, is my 48th birthday! I'm glad to have made it another year!

I took off of work for my birthday! Today it's a day of visiting family, and seeing a movie! 🎉

WOO! Version 2 of all my reference sheets are DONE, for now! I can't believe I got this far! I've been wanted to do this sort of thing since 2006, and now they're done! It's a victory on a lot of levels for me! It's not just about art, but vastly improved mental health, too! I have improved my relationship with my art; these days I'm having way more fun than I've ever had before!

Back when I first started these reference sheets, I had no idea if I'd be able to sustain my art output. For almost my entire life, I'd work on art in bursts and then just sort of...not...for a long time in between. The better I'd feel, the more frequent the bursts. The worse I felt, art output decreased until it just plain stopped. 

I'm happy to report that I've been feeling better than I ever have in my life, so it's been easy to keep art output constant. CONSTANT!! That's AMAZING for me!!! 😁🎉🎉🎉

For those curious; yes, some ref sheets do have spelling and grammar errors. I've decided that they're done enough, and I'm going to let them all rest for a bit. I'll fix those mistakes whenever I'm up for doing a third revision, but that won't be for at least another year or more.

Next up, I want to work on a few trades/gift art to folks! 

I'll be starting on my series of Tremmie and Evan, something I've also been wanting to do for a LONG time!

I'll also be working on my own 100+ expression challenge, and I'm going to use my unicorn Graphite Doodles and my vixen, Tremmie, as subjects!

When those are done, another series I've had in mind is how Sherri met (and seduced) Kyle!

At some point I'll be working on additional reference sheets for a few more characters I'll be bringing back, and others still for ones I'll be selling as adoptables!

COMMISSIONS:

I usually don't plan commissions too far ahead of time! Usually whether or not I offer them depends entirely on my finances! I'm not planning on offering them anytime soon, but that could change. I'll try to give heads up at least a few days ahead of time!

I didn't get any art done in January like I had hoped, and I have a really good reason for it!

I've had really bad chronic insomnia for decades, and it's gotten really bad starting in December. It was to the point where I could only sleep when I was absolutely exhausted because I'd just pass out. Work and my personal life really suffered.

Turns out it was due to our 30-year-old mattress! My sleep had gradually been getting worse and worse and I didn't notice. I think it started to dawn on me when I stopped feeling comfortable in bed. Like, parts of my body hurt more when I was lying down!

We just got a mattress earlier this week and it's been LIFE-CHANGING! Way better sleep! When I'm awake, I feel like I have energy during the day! It's amazing!

So, the good news is that I'll be working on updating my model sheets in February like I had wanted in December and January! Now that I'm well-rested and have more energy, I want to see how much progress I can make!

I'll be editing all my reference sheets in December! Cleaning up errors, adding additional text, etc.!
